Sean Slade is an Australian-American global education leader, speaker, and author, with three decades of experience spanning five countries across four continents, who resides in the Washington DC area.
He is a global leader on a Whole Child approach to education, aligning education, health, and community to work more effectively. He is a founding member of the UNESCO Chair on Global Health and Education; an Advisor to the OECD's Future of Education 2030; HundrEd Global Ambassador; Global Judge at T4 Education; and Special Advisor to NEOM Early Child to Year 12 project in KSA.
More recently he has been a member of the Brain Trust at the Diplomatic Courier. In this capapcity he has spoken at recent World Economic Forum (Davos, Switzerland), IMF/World Bank (Washington DC, USA) and United Nations Nations General Assembly (New York, USA) events, focusing on educational transformation, leading in uncertainty, and ecosystemic partnerships.
He has written for the Washington Post, Huffington Post, EdWeek, Diplomatic Courier, and been published by ASCD, Abingdon Press, Human Kinetics, Routledge, and Rowman & Littlefield. His next book, Genius: How Teams Nurture Individual Brilliance, is due to be released in December 2026 by Teachers College Press.
